Mr C Minney, Rushden

Following an illness which lasted for a fortnight, the death took place of Mr Christopher Minney. of 7, Grove Road, Rushden.

Aged 76 years, Mr Minney came from Yardly Hastings 52 years ago, and was a keen cricketer, assisting the Rushden Town 2nd XI, and the Rushden Athletic. He was a member of the Band Club and Working Men’s Club, and an employee of Messrs John White Ltd, retiring from their service following an illness nine years ago.

A widow, one son and four daughters are left.

The funeral service was conducted at the home by the curate of St Mary’s Church (the Rev R MacPherson Heard). The mourners were: Mrs M Minney, Mr C Minney (widow and son), Mr and Mrs L Rawlins (son-in-law and daughter), Mrs D Willmott and Mrs C Minney (daughter and son-in-law), Mrs and Mrs B Hustwaite (son-in-law and daughter), Mr and Mrs E Partridge (son-in-law and daughter), Mr and Mrs A Minney (brother and sister-in-law), Mr and Mrs F Minney (brother and sister-in-law).

The funeral arrangements were carried out by Mr L Clark.
