A Former resident of Rushden, Mr. F. W. Miller, has passed away at Reading Hospital, after a brief illness lasting only a week. Mr. Miller was extremely well known in Rushden before he left the town. His father, the late Mr. Frederick Miller, was also very well known in Rushden, being the tenant of the lodge at the Hall Gates. The death was a great shock to the relatives and friends. Mr. Miller was one of the most popular residents of Bramley, in which town he was residing up to the time of his illness. He was an ex-warrant officer of the Royal Engineers, and during the past few years he had been in a responsible position at the Bramley Depot. Mr. Miller had seen much service with the Army, having fought in the South Africa War and the Great War. |
