Rushden Echo, 15th November 1918, transcribed by Kay Collins
Rev. A. J. Meakin

The Late Rev. A. J. Meakin—At the Park-road Baptist Church on Sunday morning the Rev. R. C. Law, A.T.S., referred in feeling terms to the death of the Rev. A. J. Meakin, Vicar of St. Peter’s, and said that they as Baptists wished to associate themselves in the expressions of sincere sympathy with Mrs. Meakin and the family, and of warm appreciation of the spirit which Mr. Meakin had shown since he had been in Rushden. They realised that had he been spared he would have accomplished a good work here, and they deeply felt the loss of such a man.

Mrs. Meakin and family wish to thank all friends for kindness shown to them in their sad bereavement.
