Mrs. Adelaide Mary Mackness

Mrs. Adelaide Mary Mackness, of 16, Montague-street, Rushden, died on Thursday week aged 89 years. She was a native of Lavenham, Suffolk, and had lived in Rushden for 57 years. Mrs. Mackness was a member of the congregation of St. Peter's Church, her late husband, Mr. Charles Mackness, who died in 1937, also being connected with the church. There are three sons bereaved, Mr. C. F. Mackness, Mr H. W. Mackness, and Mr. H. T Mackness, and one daughter, Mrs Mabel Bailey.

The funeral took place on Saturday afternoon, and the service was conducted at St. Peter's Church by the Vicar, the Rev. P. Barwell Spriggs.

The mourners were; Mr. C. F. Mackness and Mrs. H. Bailey (son and daughter), Mr. H. W. Mackness and Mrs. Frances Mackness (son and daughter-in-law), Mr. H. T. Mackness and Mrs. H. W. Mackness (son and daughter-in-law), Mr. John Bailey and Mrs. H. T. Mackness (son-in-law and daughter-in-law), Mr. Dennis Mackness and Miss Doris Mackness (grandchildren), Mr. and Mrs. G. Lovell (grandchildren), Mr. T. Smith and Mrs. A. Pettitt (nephew and aunt), Mr. H. Stock and Mr. G. Mackness (nephew and brother-in-law).
