Miss Ethel May Lyman

We sincerely regret to record the death of Miss Ethel May Lyman, third daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W. Lyman, of 10 Newton-road, Rushden, who passed away on Monday at the age of twelve years, after a brief illness. The funeral took place yesterday in the cemetery, the first portion of the service being conducted in the Park-road Wesleyan Church, where deceased was a scholar of the Sunday school. The Rev. H. Stanley Southall conducted the service. The coffin, which was of polished elm with silver fittings, bore the breastplate with the inscription:

ETHEL MAY LYMAN
Died June 12th, 1916,
Aged 12 years.

The mourners were as follows Mr. and Mrs. Lyman (father and mother), 2nd A.M. R. Lyman, R.F.A. (brother), Miss Maud Lyman (sister), Miss Winifred Lyman (sister), Mrs. A. Tompkins (cousin), Mr. and Mrs. T. Hornsby, of Wollaston (grandparents), Mr. W. Hornsby and Mrs. F. Hart (uncle and aunt), Mrs. T. Hornsby, jun. (aunt), and Mrs. Whitehead (friend). A number of beautiful floral tributes were placed on the grave.
