Mrs. Hannah Lovell

Death of Mrs. William Lovell - Well-known Rushden Resident

  The death took place on Monday morning, about 3.30, of Mrs. Hannah Lovell, widow of the late Mr. William Lovell, the former landlord of the Oakley Inn, Rushden, and mother of Mr. J. D. Lovell. Since the death of her husband some years ago, the deceased had continued to reside at the Oakley. She was 56 years of age. The cause of death was cancer.

  The funeral took place yesterday afternoon at the cemetery, Messrs. Walker and Butcher being the undertakers.

  The mourners were Mr. J. D. Lovell (son), Mrs. J. D. Lovell (daughter-in-law), Mrs. Parish (sister), Mr. and Mrs. Lamb (uncle and aunt), Mrs. Evans (cousin), Mr. and Mrs. Burgess (cousins), Mrs. Clark, Mrs. Partridge, Mrs. Simmons and Mrs. S. Clarke (cousins), Mrs. Knight, Nurse Griffiths, Mr. Henry Sparrow, Mr. W. Skinner, Mr. Corby, of Wellingborough (representing Messrs. Campbell Praed and Co.).

  The wreaths were as follow :-

  In fond remembrance of a dear mother, from her sorrowing son and daughter.

  With deepest sympathy, from Mr. and Mrs. J. Bailey.

  With loving sympathy, from Mr. and Mrs. W. H. Lovell, The Manor House, Stanwick.

  With deepest sympathy, from Mr. and Mrs. G. Evans.

  In loving memory of a dear sister, from Jane.

  With deepest love, from Mr. and Mrs. Burgess and family.

  With deepest sympathy, from Joe Mitchell.

  With sincere sympathy, from Cousins Sarah and Sally.  “Peace, perfect peace.”

  With deepest sympathy, from Mrs. T. Lovell and Mrs. Knight, Raunds.

  With deepest sympathy, from Mrs. Higgins.
