Mr. Frederick George Lilley

Mr. Frederick George Lilley, 53 Higham Road, Rushden, died at his home on Saturday, aged 84. He was a master plumber and decorator in the town for about fifty years. He retired from his own business about twelve years ago,

Mr. Lilley was one of the original members of Rushden Operatic Society and in the 1920s took leading roles in many of the Society’s Gilbert and Sullivan operas.

Bereaved are his wife, Mrs. Henrietta Lilley, a niece and a nephew.

The funeral service took place at St. Mary’s Church, Rushden, on Tuesday, followed by cremation at Kettering.
