Mr. William Lawrence, of 18, Co-operative-row, Rushden, died at Northampton General Hospital on Tuesday. Aged 72 years, he had been in hospital for three weeks. He was well-known for his work at St. Mary's church, and was, before his illness, a Sunday School teacher. A son, Mr. W. Lawrence, of Hillingdon, and three daughters, Miss W. Lawrence (Wimbledon), Mrs. A. Lattimore (Wellingborough), and Mrs. D. Blackburn, (Nottingham), are bereaved.

The funeral will take place this afternoon, and the service will be held at St. Mary's Church.
