MR. Walter John Lack, Sunday School superintendent and treasurer at High Street Independent Wesleyan Church Rushden, for about fifty years, died on Wednesday morning, at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Edwards, 13 Park Avenue, Rushden. He was 89. Mr. Lack gave up his duties at the church about five years ago. Late of 5 Brookfield Road, Rushden, he was a widower. He worked all his adult life at Sanders and Sanders, Spencer Road, Rushden, retiring in 1938. A sister in Somerset, Mrs. Edwards, a son, Mr. W. T. Lack, a former mayor of Dunstable, four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren are bereaved. The funeral is to take place today at Rushden cemetery. |
