The death of Mrs Samuel Knight, of Newton-road, took place unexpectedly at 3a.m. on Sunday last. Mrs Knight leaves a widower and two sons. Deceased died of bronchitis and syncope. Mrs Knight, who was 61 years of age, was born in Leicestershire, but had lived in Rushden for about 35 years. She was apparently in her usual state of health until a short time before her death, and was present at the evening service at the Independent Wesleyan Church on the previous Sunday. Deceased was a sister of Mrs Veni Cox, of the Chequers Inn, Higham Ferrers, and of Mrs Mawby, Wellingborough-road, Higham Ferrers. The funeral took place yesterday at the Cemetery, the Rev. C J Keeler officiating.
