Funeral of Mrs. C. Johnson

After eight years of illness, Mrs. Eliza Johnson, of 1, Wentworth Road, Rushden, died at her home on March 14th. She was the wife of Mr. Charles Johnson and was aged 72 years.

The funeral took place on Monday afternoon, the Rev. E. E. Bromage officiating at the service, which was held in the house.

The chief mourners were: Mr. C. Johnson (husband), Mrs. C. Town, Bedford and Mrs. W. Partridge, Ringstead (cousins), Mr. W. Johnson and Mr. B. Johnson, both of Wollaston (brothers-in-law) Mrs. B. Johnson (sister-in-law), Mr. and Mrs. J. Partridge (nephew and niece), Mrs. F. Downing (cousin), Mr. and Mrs. Cyril Freeman (friends).

Miss M. Minney of Yardley Hastings was unable to attend owing to indisposition.

A comprehensive list of wreaths followed.

The funeral arrangements were in the hands of the Co-operative Federal Funeral Service.
