Sudden Death

The death took place rather unexpectedly on Sunday of Mr. Herbert William Jarvis, at the age of 61. The deceased had been a sufferer for a considerable time from heart trouble, but had managed to keep about until within a week of his death. On Monday week he complained of feeling unwell, and retired to bed, only getting up in the evenings for the rest of the week.

On Saturday be became much worse and the doctor was summoned in the evening and again on Sunday morning, but Mr. Jarvis passed away about 1.30 in spite of everything that could be done for him. The deceased had lived in Rushden about 21 years, being in business most of that time. He leaves a widow and one son.
