Mrs Harriett May Jaques

Mrs Harriett May Jaques, of “Risdene” Bath-road, Langley, Bucks., who died on Tuesday, was for many years a devoted worker for the Rushden Women’s Adult School. Her death took place at the King Edward VII Hospital, Windsor, where she had been ill for about a week.

Mrs. Jaques, who was aged 49 years, left her home town four years ago, but was in Rushden at Christmas to visit friends. Her husband, Mr. Harry Jaques, was well-known in the town as chairman of the Rushden Town Football Club, a president of the County Adult School Union, and founder of the Northamptonshire Adult School Spring Festival.

Mrs. Jaques leaves her husband and two sons, Mr. Fred Jaques and Mr. Charles Jaques, all residing in Slough.

The funeral is to take place at Slough to-morrow (Saturday) morning.
