Funeral of Mr H James

The funeral of Mr Harry James, of 5 Glassbrook-road, took place at Rushden on Wednesday.

Aged 76 years and a native of Podington, Mr James had been in failing health for 11 years since his retirement from Messrs Jaques and Clark, boot manufacturers, where he was foreman of the finishing department.

Besides the wife, Mrs E C James, three sons and two daughters are left.

The funeral service was conducted by the Rev R MacPherson Heard, of St Peter’s Church, and mourners were: Mr J James and Miss L James (son and daughter), Mr and Mrs C James (son and daughter-in-law), Mr and Mrs E Harris (son-in-law and daughter), Mr and Mrs W James (son and daughter-in-law), Mr L James (brother), and Miss M James (sister).

The widow was unable to attend the interment.
