Mrs. Eliza Hall

The funeral took place on Wednesday, in the cemetery, of the late Mrs. Eliza Hall, of 37, Little-street, who passed away on Monday after several months’ painful illness, at the age of 73 years. The deceased lady was a member of the Salvation Army and the obsequies were conducted by Ensign Duckett. Prior to the ceremony at the graveside a brief service was held outside the deceased’s residence, and the cortege then proceeded to the cemetery, headed by the Salvation Army Band. The coffin was of polished elm with brass fittings and bore the inscription:-

ELIZA HALL
Died October 25th, 1915
Aged 73 years.

The funeral arrangements were carried out by Mr. Arthur Sanders. The mourners were:- Mr. Joseph Hall (husband), Mr. J. W. Hall (son), Mrs. T. Humphrey, of Manchester (daughter), Mrs. G. Nuttycombe, of Higham Ferrers (daughter), Mrs. H. C. Freer, of Oxford (daughter), Mr. G. T. Nuttycombe (son-in-law), Vera, Kathie, Teddie, and Wilfrid Nuttycombe (grandchildren). A number of beautiful wreaths were placed on the grave. The deceased soldier’s bonnet and Bible were carried on the coffin.
