The Late Nurse Griffiths
Funeral at Rushden


The funeral of the late Nurse Griffiths, of Rushden, whose death we recorded in last week’s “Rushden Echo,” took place on Saturday afternoon at the Cemetery, the Rev. R. H. Colwell officiating in the absence from home the Rev. W. F. Harris.

The chief mourners were Mr. H. Griffiths (husband), Mr. Tom Fisher (brother), Mrs. Green, Mrs. Varnam, and Mrs Price (sisters), Mr. and Mrs. Griffiths (mother-in-law and father-in-law), Mr. Arthur Griffiths (brother-in-law).

The coffin was of polished oak with silver-plated fittings, the inscription being:

Florence Louise Griffiths,
Died January 19, 1909,
Aged 35 years.

Numerous wreaths had been sent by relatives and friends, and these floral tributes bore the following inscriptions:-

In loving sympathy from her brother Tom, wife, and daughters.

In loving memory of our dear sister, from her sister and brother Beattie and Harry.

With fond love from sister Winnie, Enoch, and children.

With heartfelt sympathy and in loving remembrance of Nurse, the dear friend of Mr. and Mrs. Amos Cave.—“Good night, God bless you.”

With sympathy and gratitude from katheen L. Jacobs.

With deepest sympathy from Mr. and Mrs. Harris, Grace, and Will.

With deepest sympathy from Mr. and Mrs. Bain.

With sincere sympathy from Mr. and Mrs. Picken.

From the Standard Rotary Machine Company, Ltd., employees, with deepest sympathy.

Messrs. Clark and Sanders were the undertakers, and they carried out the arrangements efficiently.
