Rushden Echo, 31st March 1916

Mr. William Henry Green

At Rushden, March 26, William Henry Green, 34 years.

The death took place on Saturday at 37 Pemberton-street, of Mr. William Henry Green, at the age of 34 years, after a long and painful illness. Deceased was a member of the Windmill Club. The funeral took place on Wednesday at the cemetery, the Rev. P. J. Richards officiating. The coffin was of polished elm with brass fittings, and bore the inscription:-

WILLIAM HENRY GREEN.
Died March 25th, 1916.
Aged 34 years.

The mourners included his parents and two soldier brothers, one of whom has been wounded. Eight members of the Windmill Club also followed. The undertaker was Mr. Arthur Sanders. Several beautiful floral tributes were placed on the grave, including one from the members of the Windmill Club.
