Rushden Echo & Argus, 6th November 1942
Mr. Harry Green

Collapsing in High-street, Rushden, on Tuesday morning, Mr Harry Green, aged 58, of 8, Ealing terrace, Rushden, was taken into Messrs. J. E. Robinson's shop by two soldiers, afterwards being removed to his home in a van by Mr. C. A. Robinson.  He died a few minutes later.

Mr. Green, who had been in ill health for some time, was well known in Rushden, for he had been an ice cream vendor for five years, previously being employed by Walls' Ice Cream Company. A native of Sheffield, he had been living in Rushden for 15 years. He leaves ten children, four boys and six girls.

The funeral takes place at the Rushden cemetery today.
