Olive May Goosey

The funeral took place on Dec. 1st, in the cemetery, of Olive May Goosey, aged 3½, whose death was reported in our last issue. The Rev. P. J. Richards conducted the service at St. Peter’s Church, and also officiated at the graveside. The coffin was white with blue fittings. The chief mourners were:- Private and Mrs. J. Goosey (mother and father), Alfred and William (brothers), Mrs. A. Goosey (grandmother), Mr. Oliver Thompson (uncle), Mrs. W. Goosey (aunt), Mrs. J. Thompson (aunt). Four girls, Misses B. Curtis, E. Downing, E. Mole and M. Watts were the bearers. The deceased girl’s father obtained special leave to see his daughter, but she was too far gone to speak to him.

The relatives and friends of the deceased child wish to express their sincere thanks to all friends, especially neighbours, who showed them such sympathy in their bereavement.
