Rushden Echo. 18th January 1918, transcribed by Kay Collins
Richard Fieullade

An Octogenarian, who formerly resided in Rushden, passed away at Wellingborough Workhouse on Tuesday in the person of Richard Fieullade, at the age of 80 years. Deceased, who, we understand, was of French extraction, was known as “The Frenchman,” and formerly resided with Mr. and Mrs. Jonathan Eillis at Woburn-place. He came to Rushden from Chatham. Last October he had the misfortune to fall and injure his hip, and was then admitted to the Union Infirmary. Apparently he never recovered from the shock, and passed away on Tuesday as above stated. Mr. J. Ellis gave evidence at an inquest which was held yesterday.
