Death of a Rushden Man—The death of Mr. James Ellis (father of Mr. F. Ellis, of Spencer Park, Rushden), who left Rushden three years ago last Christmas for Queensland, Australia, took place on February 25th, at Thornton, Laidley, Queensland, after a few days’ illness. Mrs. John Willmer, a daughter of the deceased, writes that her father “went off very quietly, as if he was only going to sleep.” Deceased, who was 75 years of age, went to Queensland to take a small farm. He was for some time an employee of the Rushden Urban Council, and resided at the bottom of Wymington-road.
