Mrs. Caroline Ellis

The death took place on Saturday morning of Mrs Caroline Ellis, of 18, Bedford-road, Rushden. Mrs. Ellis was aged 72 years, and her death followed three months' illness. She was native of Nottingham, but had lived in Rushden for about 40 years. Her husband, Mr. Oliver Ellis, is aged 78 years, but is still active and was employed by various local firms as a night watchman, retiring only at Christmas owing to his wife's illness. The funeral took place on Tuesday afternoon, and the service was conducted at the cemetery chapel by the Park-road Baptist minister, the Rev. T. W. Gill.

Mr. Fred Bayes, of Rushden, was responsible for the funeral arrangements.
