Mrs. Foundah Dickens

The Death took place on Tuesday, at 140 Queen-street, Rushden, of Mrs. Foundah Dickens (56), wife of Mr. Joseph Dickens, following heart trouble and incapacity from a seizure over three years ago. Deceased, a native of Rushden, was a daughter of the late Mr. Jesse Clayton. She had been a member of the Park-road Baptist Church for 40 years. The funeral took place yesterday, the Rev. C. J. Keeler officiating in the absence of the Rev. J. A. Sutherland (visiting Stockholm). A service was held in the Park-road Church, and the interment was at the cemetery. The mourners were: Mr. Dickens (widow), Miss Elsie Dickens (daughter); Miss S. J. Clayton (sister), Mr. A. Clayton (brother); Mrs. Deacon (sister), Mr. H. Clayton (brother); Mr. and Mrs. W. Clayton (brother and sister-in-law); Mrs. H. Clayton (sister-in-law), Mrs. A. Dickens (cousin); Mrs. Rodwell, Mrs. Horace Wright (nieces); Mrs. Dix, and Miss Hooten, of Olney (friends). Messrs. Whittington and Tomlin carried out the funeral arrangements. Mr. J. Dickens and relations wish to thank all kind friends for the many expressions of sympathy tendered them in their bereavement, also for the floral tributes sent.
