Rushden Echo, 18th January 1918, transcribed by Gill Hollis
Miss May Denton

Death - We deeply regret to record the death, which took place on Tuesday evening at 59, Queen-street, after a lingering illness, of Miss May Denton, at the age of 30 years.  The deceased, who was the youngest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Denton, bore much suffering with remarkable patience and fortitude.  She was a member of the Independent Wesleyan Church, and regularly attended the services until failing health prevented her.  The funeral will take place on Saturday at 3 p.m., and the first portion of the service will be conducted by the Rev. C. J. Keeler at the home of the deceased’s parents.
