Mr J D Cunnington

The death took place on Tuesday evening of Mr Jesse Dickins Cunnington (57) at his residence, 3, Griffith street, Rushden. He had been in poor health for over twelve months, and took to his bed a fortnight before he passed away.

Mr Cunnington was well known in the leather trade. His father was in business as a currier, and Mr Cunnington himself was with Messrs B Denton and Son Ltd., till they gave up their currying department, when he joined Messrs A Groome and Sons. He was a prominent member of the Rushden Independent Wesleyan Church, where his wife is a Leader, and in the early days played occasionally for the old amateur football side called “Ballyhooly” Club.

He leaves a widow and one daughter, Miss Doreen Cunnington.

Two brothers, Mr Robert Cunnington and Mr Hugh Cunnington, live in Rushden. Another brother, Mr Charles Cunnington, lives at Golders Green, and a sister, Mrs Cooper, at Richmond.

The funeral takes place at Rushden to day.
