Rushden Echo, 7th February 1930, transcribed by Kay Collins
Fatal Accident to Mr E Cunnington
Ex-Rushden Man Killed in Canada

Cabled news reached Mr Jesse Cunnington, Griffith-street, Rushden, this week of the death in Toronto, Canada, of Mr Ernest Cunnington, a son of the late Mr and Mrs Charles Cunnington, formerly of Griffith-street, Rushden. Beyond the fact than an accident was the cause of Cunnington’s death nothing further is known yet. Details are expected by mail.

Mr Cunnington married Miss Ginns, sister of Mr W Ginns, blacksmith, High-street South, Rushden, and they went to Canada about ten years ago.

Mr Cunnington was on a visit to Rushden a few years ago when he renewed many acquaintances at the High-street Independent Wesleyan Church (with which he was associated as choirmaster) and elsewhere in the district. He was a currier before he left Rushden.

The widow and two children are bereaved.
