Rushden Echo, 21st November 1919, transcribed by Kay Collins
Mrs. Jane Cowley

The death from senile decay took place on Wednesday at 11 Rectory-road, of Mrs. Jane Cowley, at the ripe old age of 91. Up to the time she kept to her bed, about three months ago, the deceased lady had practically been free of illness all her life. She was a native of Higham Ferrers, but had lived the greater part of her life in Rushden. Her husband pre-deceased her 35 years ago. There are living four sons (one of whom keeps a retail hardware store in Church-street), one daughter, 23 grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren. Mrs. Cowley had been associated with the Independent Wesleyan Church in Rushden for many years, but had not taken an active part in the work.
