Mrs. Ada Harriett Coleman

The Funeral took place yesterday week of Mrs. Ada Harriett Coleman, of 79 Midland Road, wife of Pte. Bert Coleman, Royal Sussex Regiment, who has been missing in France since the German push 14 months ago. Mrs. Coleman never properly recovered from the shock caused by the news of her husband being amongst the missing and her death took place on Monday week. Much sympathy is felt with the bereaved friends. The first part of the funeral service was conducted in the High Street Independent Wesleyan church, the Rev. C.J. Keeler officiating.

There were a large number of sympathisers present and also at the graveside. The following were the family mourners:

Smith (brother and sister-in-law), Mrs. Taylor (friend) and Miss Smith (niece), Misses Smith (2) nieces. The wreaths bore the following inscriptions:

In loving memory of our dear daughter Ada, from mother and father and brother (Percy).“God thought it best and took her to His heavenly rest.”

To my dear sister, from George, Ada and her little nephew Walter at Harrold.

Mr. and Mrs. Thew and family desire to offer their heartfelt thanks to the many kind friends who have sent messages of sympathy and also the floral tributes.
