The Argus, 16th February 1917, transcribed by Kay Collins
Mrs. Zilpah Clayton

Sudden Death—Mrs. Zilpah Clayton, a widow, aged 65, residing with her son at 56 Glassbrook-road, died suddenly in her bedroom on Saturday evening. For many years the deceased had been suffering with dropsy, but did not take to her bed until Thursday last, when she had a bad cold. On Saturday evening at six o’clock, whilst in a sitting position, she suddenly expired. Her daughter, Mrs. Harris, of Brookfield-road, was present at the time.—The case was reported to the police, and P.S. Beale communicated with the coroner, who did not deem an inquest necessary.
