Mrs. Sarah Clarke

The death occurred on Friday last of Mrs. Sarah Clarke, of 84 Newton-road, Rushden, who passed away at the age of 87 years. She was the widow of the late Mr. George Clarke, who passed away many years ago, and who was well-known in connection with the Independent Wesleyan Church. He was a local preacher for thirty years.

The funeral took place on Monday, when the Rev. C. J. Keeler conducted a service at the High-street Church afterwards officiating at the cemetery.

The mourners were Mrs. Draper and Mrs. Shrives and Mrs Black (daughters), Mr. G. Draper and Mr. W. Black (sons-in-law), Mrs Clarke, Mrs. Mantle, Mrs. Burt and Miss Dorothy Draper (grand-daughters), Mr. Oliver Claridge, Mr. Robert Cunnington and Mr. Hugh Cunnington (nephews), Mrs. Annie Clarke (niece), Mr. and Mrs. H. Jaques (nephew and niece). Mr. Arthur Sanders carried out the funeral arrangements.
