We regret to record the death, which took place on Monday, of Mrs. John Clarke, aged 48, of Alfred-street. Deceased had been ill for only eleven weeks. Deceased, a member of the Park-road Wesleyan Church, leaves a husband, son, and daughter. The funeral took place yesterday at the Rushden cemetery. A service was conducted in the Park-road Wesleyan Church by the Rev. R. Heaps, who also officiated at the grave side. The coffin was of polished elm with brass fittings and bore the inscription:- JANE CLARKE The mourners were Mr. John Clarke (husband), Miss L. Clarke (daughter), Mr. T. Lamb (father), Mrs. Partridge (sister), Mr. and Mrs. Tailby (brother-in-law and sister), Mr. and Mrs. James Clarke (father and mother-in-law), Mr. T. Partridge (brother-in-law), Mrs. Seamore, Misses F., E., and N. Partridge (nieces), Mr. and Mrs. L. Allen (brother-in-law and sister), Mrs. Timms (sister-in-law). Messrs. Clark and Sanders were the undertakers. Mr. John Clarke and family, of 11, Alfred-street, Rushden, desire to sincerely thank all friends who have shown sympathy with them in their sad bereavement.
