Mr Arthur Childs

Mr. Arthur Childs, of 25 Harborough-road, Rushden, passed away on Sunday morning in Creaton Sanatorium. He was 40 years of age, a native of Rushden, always living here. For the last four years he worked for Messrs. T. Swindall and Sons, builders.

A widow, Mrs. Gladys Childs, and one son, Tony Childs, are left.

The funeral took place on Wednesday afternoon. The service was conducted in the Park-road Baptist Church by the Rev. R. Percival Jones, and the mourners were: Mrs. G. Childs (widow). Mr. Tony Childs (son), Mrs. F. Perkins and Mrs. M. Pearson, Leicester (sisters), Mrs. R. Mead, Mrs. W. Valentine (nieces), Mr. and Mrs. G. Adams (father-in-law and mother-in-law), Mr. A. Adams, Mrs. F. Smith, Mr. G. Adams, Mrs. B. Meadlock, Mr. C. Adams and Mrs. J. Smith (brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law), Mr. J. Dickens and Miss Jean Clark (friends).

At the church and graveside, Mr. M. Young and Mr. Chettle represented Messrs. T. Swindall and Sons.
