ObituaryWith regret we record the death of Mr. Herbert Checksfield, house furnisher, of Spencer-road, late of Higham-road, Rushden, which took place on Tuesday morning at Berry Wood Hospital, Northampton, at the age of 56. Deceased, who had resided in Rushden for 32 years, was well known and respected as a tradesman. He leaves a widow and eight children to mourn his loss. Of late years he had been a severe sufferer from religious melancholia, and on December 29th of last year the family’s medical adviser recommended his removal to Berry Wood, where he has received every attention and kindness. No improvement in his mental condition resulted, however, and his bodily health suffered in consequence. Very great sympathy will be felt with Mrs. Checksfield and family in their bereavement. |
