Death—After an illness lasting since Easter, the death took place on Wednesday evening, at ten o’clock, of Mrs Ann Carrington, the wife of Mr J J Carrington, of 42 Harborough-road. On the Saturday before Easter Mrs Carrington had a stroke, and she did not recover.

Mrs Carrington had been in Rushden since 1886, but she was a native of Middle Wallop, Hampshire. In 1885 Mr Carrington built one of the first houses in the Harborough-road district. Of a quiet and reserved nature, the deceased lady was connected with no public bodies. Mr Carrington is well known in Rushden, and for 16 years he was the popular secretary of the Working Men’s Club. There are left to mourn their loss, besides the husband, one son and son daughter. Mr J V Carrington and Miss Laura Carrington, the former having been a teacher at the Newton-road Schools until he removed to Lower Heyford to become a headmaster a year or so ago. The funeral will take place tomorrow (Saturday).
