The death occurred on Tuesday, at his home at Brook Farm, Raunds, of a well-known local man, in the person of Mr. Robinson Burton, of Brook Farm, Raunds. Mr. Burton who was a native of Raunds was the oldest inhabitant, being in his 91st year. He started in business in Rushden as a baker, and after thirty years commenced farming at Dial Farm, Rushden, owing to failing health. From Rushden, he went to Stanwick Grange, where he worked for 20 years and then to ...enby, Bucks, for four years, and then back to Raunds. Mr. Burton passed away suddenly after two days' illness. His wife predeceased him by 31 years, when she passed away at Stanwick. Two sons and three daughters are left, one son being in Chicago, and the other at Raunds, and two daughters in Rushden and one in Buckinghamshire. Mr. Burton was a strict churchman and a life member of the Conservative Club, and was a life-long member of the Earl Fitzwilliam Lodge of Oddfellows, Higham Ferrers.
