The death took place at Netley Military Hospital last week at the age of 32 years, of Sergt. Edward George Buckby, fourth son of Mr. J. Buckby, of Grove-road, Rushden. Deceased, who has served 13 years with the Northampton Regiment and two years with the Scottish Rifles, was invalided home from Malta a month ago, suffering from cancer of the spine. He leaves a widow and two children to mourn his loss. He was greatly respected by all his friends and acquaintances in Rushden and Higham Ferrers.

Bacon, the Rushden Crimean veteran, Col-Sergts. Bradshaw (Northampton Regiment) and Bullard (Northants Territorials), and Sergts. Mabbutt, Hengist, Murray, Andrew, Drury, Keefe, and Fiddy, all of Northampton, and Corporal Freeman and Private Denton, of the H Company Northants Territorials.

The Last Post was sounded over the grave by Bugler Harrop, of the Northampton Regiment.
