The death took place yesterday afternoon at “Hazelwood,” Rushden Hill, of Miss May Brawn, only daughter of the late Mr. James Brawn, formerly of Raunds. The deceased young lady, aged 22, was a niece of Mr. and Mrs. G. H. Groome, and came to stay with them about two months ago after a serious illness she had in the early part of the year. When she came to Rushden she was convalescent, and for a time continued to make satisfactory progress. Unfortunately a relapse occurred about six weeks ago, and Miss Brawn was again compelled to take to her bed. She was taken considerably worse about three weeks ago and never rallied, until the end came peacefully yesterday about 2p.m. The funeral is to take place at Raunds. |
