The Late Mr. H. Blackwell
Funeral at Rushden


The funeral of Mr. Herbert Blackwell, whose death we reported last week, took place on Friday in the Rushden Cemetery in the presence of a large number of sympathisers. The service was conducted by Pastor J. H. Lynn, of Succoth. The members of the Rushden Men's Adult School, and of the Liverpool and Victoria Friendly Society followed. The mourners were:- Mrs. H. Blackwell (widow) and Mr. H. J. Blackwell (son), Mr. J. Blackwell (brother), and Mrs. J. Bartlett (sister), Mrs. H. Shaw (sister), Mrs. J. Hunt (niece), Mr. and Mrs. Muller (brother and sister-in-law), Mr. F. E. Stokes (nephew), and Master H. Muller (nephew).

Wreaths were placed on the grave, bearing the following inscriptions:—

In loving memory of a devoted husband and father from his sorrowing wife and son.

"Until the day break, and the shadows flee away."

In loving memory of our dear brother, from Harry and Harriett.

With deep sympathy from Julia and James

In affectionate memory of dear Herbert, from Jennie and Goff and the boys. "He giveth His beloved sleep."

From sympathising friends, T. H. and M. Bond.

With sincere sympathy, Mr. and Mr. C. Smith.

With deepest sympathy from Mr. and Mrs. Tite.

With sincere sympathy from Mr. and Mrs. Payne.

Mrs. H. Blackwell and son wish to thank and friends who have sent expressions of sympathy with them in their recent bereavement.
