Rushden Echo, 24th January 1930, transcribed by Kay Collins
Sudden Death of Mr H Barron

Loss to Rushden Congregational Church

Following a period of ill health, the death occurred unexpectedly and with tragic suddenness on Friday last of Mr Henry Barron (58), of Park-road, Rushden, a well-known Congregational Church Worker.

Mr Barron had been indisposed for about two and a half years. On Wednesday week he visited his sister, Mrs Annie Allen, of Grove-street, Wellingborough, going by train. He then appeared to be in his usual health. About 5.30, however, when he was preparing to leave, he was the victim of a seizure, from which he ultimately succumbed.

Mr Barron had been an ardent worker for the Congregational Church, and was for many years superintendent of the Sunday School and was a deacon.

He was born in London but had lived in Rushden for a considerable number of years, having been employed at the factory of Messrs. Cunnington Bros. for 34 years.

The widow, two sons, and three daughters are bereaved. One son was killed in the Great War.
