George Barker

The Funeral took place on Monday last at the Cemetery, of the late Mr. George Barker, of Queen-street. The Rector (Rev. P. Robson) officiated. Deceased, who was an old soldier, served with the Grenadier Guards in the South African War. The coffin bore the following inscription:-

GEORGE BARKER.
Died March 9th 1917.
Aged 46 years.

The mourners were: Mrs. G. Barker (widow) and Master G. Barker (son); Mr. and Mrs. William Barker (brother and sister-in-law); Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Barker (brother and sister-in-law),; Mrs. Townsend (mother-in-law); Master Sidney Barker (nephew); Mr. Frank Townsend (brother-in-law); Miss Doll Barker (niece); Mr. and Mrs. Mepham (friends). Mrs. George Barker desires to return her sincere and grateful thanks to the many friends for their kind expressions of sympathy with he in her bereavement.
