Mrs. A. Baker

The death of Mrs. Annie Baker (80) occurred on Thursday, August 31st, at 100 Cromwell-road, Rushden, the home of her daughter, Mrs. H. Woodham.

Mrs. Baker had been ill for four years. She was the widow of Mr. Ralph Baker, who died 33 years ago. The couple were both natives of Ringstead and Mrs Baker came to Rushden 28 years ago. Up to a few years back she lived with another daughter, Mrs F. H. Robinson, at 74, Shirley-road.

There are four sons, two daughters, ten 16 grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren. Nine of the grandchildren—three girls and six boys—are in the Forces, and represent all the three Services.

The funeral took place at Ringstead on Thursday, the service being conducted at the home by the Rev. R. Jones, of the Park-road Baptist Church.
