What may be recorded as very remarkable in the life of John Baker, and old shepherd, was, that he lived eighty-nine years, and during thier revolution, he never slept a single night out of his native village; and the greatest distance he ever went from home was fifteen miles. He died in December 1836.
Note: There is a Baptism in Rushden Parish Church Register for John Baker in 1747, but no evidence of his burial here.
