At Dartford, Kent on Tuesday week, the death occurred of Mr. Horace Charles Austin, aged 43 formerly of Rushden. Mr. Austin, who was the son of Mr. & Mrs. W. T. Austin of 134 Queen Street, left the town about two years ago to go into the confectionery business.

As a youth he attended Newton Road School and was a member of the Park Road Methodist Boys Brigade.

On leaving school he was employed as a clicker by Messrs. Alfred Sargent and Sons Ltd.

Mr. Austin leaves a widow, a brother, Mr. Frank Austin and a sister, Mrs. E. E. Payne. Cremation took place at Streatham on Monday.
