Mrs Elizabeth Auger

Death—We regret to record the death, which took place on Monday, of Mrs Elizabeth Auger, wife of Mr Henry Auger, newsagent, of 25 Grover-road, Rushden. The deceased has a stroke on Friday last, and became unconscious. She never rallied, and died at 7a.m. on Monday. Mrs Auger, who was 70 years of age, was a native of Bishop Auckland, Co. Durham. It was there that, in 1877, Mr and Mrs Auger were married, and there they lived for a time, removing to Rushden over 40 years ago. Besides the bereaved husband, deceased leaves two daughters and a son. The funeral took place on Wednesday, the Rev R H Hanson officiating. The undertaker was Mr Arthur Sanders.

The mourners were: Mr Henry Auger (husband), Mr Henry Auger, jun. (son), Mrs A S Leigh and Mrs H Houghton (daughters, Mrs T Lovell (sister-in-law), Mr and Mrs Jolley (brother and sister-in-law), Miss P Auger (sister-in-law), Jackie and Winnie (grandchildren). Wreaths were sent as follow: From Dad and Harry; Mr and Mrs Leigh; Mrs H Houghton, Winnie and Jackie; Mr and Mrs S Robinson; and two from the neighbours. Mr Auger and the family desire to express their thanks to the friends and neighbours for the sympathy shown to them in their bereavement and for the beautiful wreaths sent.
