Mr John Thomas Alderman

Mr John Thomas Alderman, aged 73 years, passed away at his residence in Park-road, Rushden, on Thursday of last week, and his funeral was held on Tuesday afternoon. A native of Staughton, he had lived in Rushden for many years, and had been employed in the press-room at Messrs Fred Knight Ltd., until his illness. He was a member of the Working Men’s Club. In addition to the widow, one son and one daughter are bereaved. The Rev S S Black officiated at the funeral service, which took place in the cemetery Chapel. The mourners were: Mr Charles J Alderman and Miss L Alderman (son and daughter), Mr Harry Alderman (brother), Mrs A Seamarks (sister-in-law), Mr and Mrs John Sayers (London, brother-in-law and sister-in-law), Mrs C J Alderman) daughter-in-law), Mr Ted Alderman (grandson), Mrs Sayers and Mrs Bettles (sisters-in-law). The widow was unable to attend. There were many beautiful floral tributes.

The undertakers were Messrs Whittington and Tomlin.
