Rushden Echo, 26th April 1918
Master Frederick Albert Adams

THE FUNERAL of Master Frederick Albert Adams, only son of Mr. and Mrs. Albert Adams, of 91, Duck-street, Rushden, who passed away on April 16th, at the age of twelve years, took place on Saturday at the cemetery, the obsequies being conducted by the Rev. P. J. Richards, who came specially from Leicester for the purpose.  The first portion of the burial service was conducted in St. Peter’s Church, whither the cortege first proceeded, the little boy having passed through the Sunday school in connection with that church.  The coffin, which had silver fittings, bore the inscription:

FREDERICK ALBERT EDWARD ADAMS.
Died April 16th, 1918.
Aged 12 years.

The mourners comprised: Mr. and Mrs. A. Adams (father and mother), Mrs. William Parker (grandmother) and Miss Gladys Adams (sister), Mrs. E. Wood (grandmother) and Mr. Edward Wood (uncle), Mrs. W. Lawrence (aunt) and Mr. W. Wood (uncle), Mrs. E. Wood and Miss E. Wood (aunts) and Mr. Scarborough (friend).  St. Peter’s Sunday school was represented by Messrs. Dickens (superintendent), Clifton, and Hancock (teachers) and a number of the deceased’s fellow-scholars.  Mr. Arthur Sanders was the undertaker.  Mr. and Mrs. Adams are grateful for all kindly expressions of sympathy.
