Mrs. Emma Adams

The funeral of the late Mrs. Emma Adams, of 78, Moor-road, whose death was reported in our last issue, took place on Saturday at the cemetery.  The first portion of the obsequies was conducted in St. Peter’s Church, by the Rev. P. J. Richards, who also officiated at the graveside.  The coffin, which was of polished elm with brass fittings, bore the inscription:-

EMMA ADAMS
Died December 26th, 1917
Aged 83 years

The mourners comprised Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Morris (stepson and step-daughter), Mr. and Mrs. George Morris, of Leamington (stepson and stepdaughter), Mrs. Shorley and Mrs. Waller.  By the request of the deceased there were no wreaths, excepting a floral cross from “Mary.”  The funeral arrangements were ably carried out by Mr. T. Swindall.  Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Morris, of 78, Moor-road, Rushden, wish to thank all friends for their kindly sympathy in their late bereavement.
