Mrs N E Rawlins - Obituary


Mrs. Nellie Edith Rawlins, aged 69, wife of Mr. Arthur Rawlins, of 13, Moor-road. Rushden, died on Tuesday, May 30th, a collapse having  occurred on  the previous Sunday  night.  She came to Rushden from Bedfordshire on her marriage 52 years ago, taking an interest in the Clubs' Fund for the Blind and Crippled Children and attending Spiritualist churches. There are six sons and three daughters. One of the sons, Cyril, is with the Army in Italy, and another, Ernest, is in the R.A.F.

The funeral took place at Rush­den last Friday, the Rev. E. Hirst, Vicar of St. Peter's, conducting a service at the house in the presence of the following mourners: Mr. A Rawlins (husband), Mr. and Mrs. C. Bayes, Mr. and Mrs. Jack Rawlins, Mr. and Mrs. Percy Rawlins, Mr. and Mrs. E. Smith, Mr. and Mrs. E. Rawlins, Mr. and Mrs. Reg. Rawlins, Mr. and Mrs. W. Brown, Mrs. Cyril Rawlins, Cpl. and Mrs. E. Rawlins (sons and daughters, sons-in-law and daughters-in-law), Mrs. Jolley (sister-in-law), Mrs. Wilby (niece), Mr. A. Rawlins (nephew), Mrs. L Rawlins (niece), Mr. and Mrs. Sim­mons (son-in-law and daughter-in-law) and Mrs. Taylor (friend).

Mr. L. Clark was the undertaker.
