Members of the Rushden Troop of the Northamptonshire Division of Rover Scouts paid their final tributes to a comrade on Monday at the funeral of Mr. Reginald Morris Hall, who died last week. Aged 31, Mr. Hall was a popular clicker in the boot industry. He was a former Assistant District Commissioner of Rover Scouts, and was keenly interested in all Scout activities. A widow is left, and there are no children.

A service was held at St. Mary’s Church, where the Rector of Rushden (the Rev. E. A. Green) and the curate (the Rev. J. S. Mathers) officiated. The surpliced choir was in attendance; the hymn, “Jesu, lover of my soul,” was sung, and the 23rd Psalm was chanted.

Mr. Alfred Clarke, A.R.C.O., was at the organ, and rendered suitable selections, including Handel’s “Largo.”

Representing St. Mary’s Church were Councillor J. Roe (church-warden), Messrs. C. Tunn, W. Clayton, Walter Knight, J. Wrighton, F. Andrews, S. Clifton, C. Clifton, and G.E.V. Fleeman (sidesmen). From Messrs. John Cave and Sons were: Mr. W. E. Capon (managing director), Mr. F. Tysoe (works manager), Mr. A. Gray (foreman of Finishing Department), Mr. Ted Sparks (foreman of the making department), Mr. G. Barnes (foreman of the rough stuff department), Mr. F. Causebrook (office staff), and Messrs. H. Stapleton, A Dickens, W. Tyler, Edgar Lord, R. Copperwheat, Sidney Smith, Charles Barker, W. Bathhurst, W. Willson, W. Woods, L. Bailey, R. Pendered, H. Bridgement, F. Edmonds, S. Norman, W. Scrimshaw, H. Ingram, Tom Groome, C. Alderman, George Croker, and many other works representatives. Councillor T.W. Cox was also present.

Rover Scouts formed the bearer party and guard of honour, and Girl Guides also attended.
