Miss Mabel Denton

Miss M. Denton, Rushden

The funeral took place on Wednesday of Miss Mabel Denton, of "The Croft," Rushden, who passed away at her home on Sunday at the age of 69 years.

A member of an old Rushden family, being one of the 13 children of the late Mr. and Mrs. G. Denton, of "Eastfields," Miss Denton was well known for her charitable work in the town. She was a member of the Independent Wesleyan Church and for many years a Sunday School teacher and chorister; a member of Rushden branch of the B.W.T.A. and an active worker for the local branch of the Young Leaguers' Union in its support of the National Children's Home. Between the two world wars she belonged to Rushden Choral Society.

Five brothers and three sisters survive her.
